Our story
Bijut Collection was founded by designer Carmen Sonder, who started making jewelry in Romania nearly 2 decades ago. She currently operates Bijut Collection from her boutique studio in downtown Phoenix, AZ.
“The name Bijut is derived from bijuterii, which is the Romanian word for ‘jewelry’. Born and raised in Bucharest, I learned how to make jewelry at a young age and have been practicing this craft my entire adult life. Each piece is designed to showcase the inherent radiance that dwells within each of us, while emphasizing the magic of healing and self-transformation.”
